Joseph Allcott (right) and Jamie Vaughan started Novalux in 2010, the business has grown from energy efficiency to incorporate Energy from Waste (EfW), biomass boilers, Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) and Solar PV. Novalux is now one of the leading renewable energy companies in the UK.
Working from experience gathered over the last 12 years, Novalux aims to help customers move away from the monopoly of energy giants and create a new model of distributed renewable energy, accessible to all.

Joseph Allcott
Managing Director
Joseph Allcott co-founded Novalux Energy in 2010. Acting as Managing Director, Joe manages the business whilst driving development and sales.
Joe’s interest in engineering was solidified when he was awarded the Arkwright Engineering Scholarship for excellence in engineering, sponsored by the Royal Navy. He continues to lean on this skill-set today.
Jamie Vaughan
Operations Director
Jamie Vaughan co-founded Novalux Energy in 2010. Acting as Operations Director, Jamie manages the design process for the EPC systems in addition to over-seeing the build and commissioning of plants.
Jamie previously worked in corporate finance as an analyst, specialising in raising funds for renewable and resource companies in Australia.
Simon Phillips
Non Executive-Director
Simon has an extensive background in infrastructure, having been involved in fund raising, fund management and asset management over the last 15 plus years. Most recently, Simon has been involved with a small residential fund for the Buy to Let market and also was an AIM listed plc director.
Simon is a serial investor and incubator of SMEs, and has experience of corporate finance and social infrastructure.
